December Update

December Update

Hi friends,

Happy December! ❄️

I hope your Thanksgiving was warm, peaceful, and full of good food, cozy moments, and maybe even a good book or two. As we turn the calendar to December, I wanted to pop into your inbox with some updates, a little holiday cheer, and a peek at what’s coming next from Green Ribbon Books.

A Quick Thankful Reflection

This time of year, always makes me think about gratitude.

I’m so thankful for:

Readers like you who share my books with your kids, grandkids, students, and friends.

The chance to write stories about communication, inclusion, and friendship.

Technology and connection — thanks to Zoom and online tools, I’ve met so many wonderful authors, illustrators, and readers I otherwise never would have met.

I’m thrilled to share that the illustrations for my next children’s book, Does Anyone Know My Language? are completely finished!

Right now, I’m almost finished with the design stage—that’s where I carefully place the text and illustrations on each page, adjust layouts, and make sure everything flows just right for young readers. This story is especially close to my heart, as it celebrates communication in all its forms and helps children feel seen and understood.

And don’t forget…

📚 Barnes & Noble Book Signing

I’ll be signing copies of Does Anyone Know My Language? at Barnes & Noble in Jacksonville, North Carolina on Saturday, April 18th, 2026, from 1:00–5:00 PM.

It still feels like a dream come true, and I’d love to see you there if you’re nearby!
