This week has been a whirlwind of packing books, checking my displays, and making sure I have all the little things that make an event run smoothly—pens, tablecloths, signs, card readers, and yes… snacks!
I’m heading out of town for a big craft event, and I can’t wait to meet new readers, share my books, and chat with families about the power of communication and imagination. There’s always something so special about these events—the energy, the smiles, the kids flipping through the pages for the first time.
This is Cuddles’ first trip this far, so it probably will be interesting. She’s such a comfort at home and bringing her along feels like taking a little piece of peace and joy with me. I’m curious to see how she reacts to new places, new people, and all the noise and excitement of the event. One thing’s for sure—she’ll be right by my side through it all, and that makes the adventure feel even more special.
